November 14, 2007 —Several Cypress-Fairbanks ISD senior athletes signed national letters of intent today—the first day of the fall early signing period—to play on the collegiate level next season.
Cy-Fair High School had five athletes sign: basketball players Megan Daniel, Mansa El and Nicole Morris signed with Centenary, the University of North Texas and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, respectively; volleyball player Lacy Hayes signed with Clemson University; and baseball player Robbie Grossman signed with the University of Texas.
At Cypress Ridge High School, baseball player Clay Vanderlaan signed with Michigan State University; and volleyball player DeAmber Smith signed with the University of Indianapolis.
At Cypress Falls High School, swimmer Neil Caskey signed with the University of Texas.
At Cypress Springs High School, basketball player Phillip McDonald signed with the University of New Mexico; and volleyball player Briana Tolbert signed with Baylor University.
