November 19, 2007 —All three CFISD football teams who qualified for the postseason won their Class 5A bi-district playoff games last weekend and will compete in the area round of playoffs this weekend.

Cypress Ridge High School improved its record to 10-1 with a 35-7 victory over Alief Elsik on Saturday. The Rams will face Eisenhower in the Division I, Region III area playoffs at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Cypress Falls High School ran away from Katy Mayde Creek with a 50-7 win on Saturday. The Golden Eagles (9-2) will meet Stratford in the Division II, Region III area playoffs at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Berry Center.

Cy-Fair High School powered past Katy Cinco Ranch 40-27 on Friday, moving to 7-4 on the year. The Bobcats will meet Lamar in the Division I, Region III area round at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Berry Center.
