November 26, 2007 —Two CFISD football teams won their area-round playoff games last weekend and will compete in the Class 5A Division I Region III Semifinals this weekend.

Cypress Ridge High School improved its record to 11-1 with a 35-28 victory over Eisenhower on Saturday. The Rams will face Fort Bend Hightower (9-3) in the regional semifinal at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Cy-Fair High School defeated Lamar 34-22 on Friday to improve to 8-4 on the year. The Bobcats will face Galena Park North Shore (12-0) in a regional semifinal game at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Berry Center.

Cypress Falls High School finished its season with a 9-3 record, as area qualifiers and the runner-up in District 17-5A, after falling to Stratford 43-37 on Saturday.
