February 7, 2008 —The girls basketball regular season finished on Tuesday, Feb. 5, and four CFISD teams will advance to the bi-district round of the Class 5A Region III Playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 12.

Cy-Fair HS finished the regular season with a 31-2 overall record and a 13-0 District 17-5A record to earn the district title. The Lady Bobcats will face Alief Taylor at 7 p.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Langham Creek HS (24-8 overall, 10-3 in district) was the district runner-up. The Lady Lobos will face Hastings at 6 p.m. at Katy High School (6331 Highway Blvd.).

Cypress Falls HS (19-13, 10-3) finished third in 17-5A. The Lady Golden Eagles will take on Elsik at 7 p.m. at Katy Taylor High School ( 20700 Kingsland Blvd. ).

Cypress Springs (24-8, 8-5) placed fourth in district and will face Cinco Ranch at 7:30 p.m. at Katy High School, following the Langham Creek vs. Hastings game.
