February 22, 2008 —The Cypress Springs High School boys basketball team knocked off Bellaire, 57-46, on Thursday night in the Region III-5A area playoffs to advance to the quarterfinals.
The Panthers improved to 31-6 on the season and will face the winner between Madison and Alief Hastings (playing tonight at Manvel High School in Alvin) next week, with a site, date and time to be determined.
