March 4, 2008 — CFISD Special Olympics athletes won eight medals at the Greater Houston and Golden Triangle Area 4 Special Olympics Individual Skills Basketball Tournament, held last weekend at Cypress Falls High School.

The following students won gold medals:

• William Gray , Jersey Village High School; Marwan Hariri, Watkins Middle School; Anna Claire Heaton, Carlton Center; and Cecilia Herrera, Fiest Elementary School.

The following students won silver medals:

• Elysse Augustine , Spillane Middle School; Julian Crawford, Aragon Middle School; Derrick Hanham, Campbell Middle School; and Taqi Syed, Langham Creek High School.

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is also hosting the Area 4 Basketball Competitions, which will be held this weekend, March 8-9, with a site to be determined.
