March 24, 2008 — CFISD boys and girls soccer teams wrapped up their seasons last week and will kick off the bi-district round of the UIL playoffs on Tuesday, March 25.

The Cypress Woods High School girls won first place in District 17-5A, followed by Cypress Creek, Cy-Fair and Langham Creek. All games will be played on Tuesday:

• Cypress Woods will play Morton Ranch at 5:30 p.m. at Mayde Creek High School in Katy;
• Langham Creek will play Cinco Ranch at 7:30 p.m. at Mayde Creek HS;
• Cypress Creek will play Katy at 5:30 p.m. at Cypress Springs High School; and
• Cy-Fair will play Katy Taylor at 7:30 p.m. at Cypress Springs.

The Langham Creek, Jersey Village and Cypress Woods boys placed second, third and fourth, respectively, behind district champion Strake Jesuit. All games will be played on Tuesday:

• Langham Creek will play Mayde Creek at the Berry Center at 5:30 p.m.;
• Jersey Village will play Alief Elsik at the Berry Center at 7:30 p.m.; and
• Cypress Woods will play Cinco Ranch at 7:30 p.m. at Cypress Woods High School.
