
March 26, 2008 — Cy-Fair High School senior outfielder Robbie Grossman was named to the annual Rawlings Preseason Baseball All-American First Team on Tuesday.
Grossman was one of 50 high school senior baseball players named to the First Team.
“These selected athletes are being recognized for their skill, athleticism, and dedication to their game which allows them to perform to the highest level of game play,” said Mike Thompson, Rawlings Vice-President. “With more than 240,000 high school athletes in the nation, these players represent the very best in their class.”
Grossman batted .429 with eight RBI and stole nine bases in District 17-5A play last season. He helped lead the Bobcats to the Class 5A state championship, was named to the All-Tournament Team as well as a First Team All-District Outfielder.
