[Español]

March 31, 2008 — Warner Elementary School fifth-grade student Hanna Bennett and fourth-grade student Haley Webb raised a total of $11,500 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) after participating in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on Oct. 27, 2007 in Houston.

Bennett and Webb, who both have Type 1 Diabetes, are both dedicated to supporting the JDRF.

Warner students and staff helped contribute to their fund-raising efforts by holding a three-week “Dimes for Diabetes” collection at the school last fall. Warner generated $690 to donate to the effort.
