March 31, 2008 —The Cypress Woods High School girls soccer team advanced to the Region III-5A quarterfinals after defeating Lamar on Friday at Delmar Stadium.
The Wildcats shut out Lamar, 2-0, with goals made by sophomore Joceline Quiceno and junior Becca Spence.
Cypress Woods will face Katy Taylor at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Cypress Springs High School (7909 Fry Road).
