April 2, 2008 —The Cypress Woods High School girls soccer team finished its season as Class 5A Region III quarterfinalists after falling to Katy Taylor, 1-0, Tuesday night at Cypress Springs High School .

The Cypress Woods Wildcats finished the 2008 season with a 17-5-3 overall record. They were the District 17-5A champions and advanced three rounds in their first season to compete on the varsity level.
