April 10, 2008 — Four CFISD winter guard teams placed in the 2008 Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) State Championships, held April 5 at the Berry Center.

Cypress Woods placed first in the Scholastic AA class with 82.05 points, Cypress Falls placed first in the Scholastic World class with 81.45 points, Langham Springs (a combined team) placed first in the Independent Open with 76.25 points and Langham Springs JV placed second in the Independent A class with 68.15 points.

Other district participants included Cy-Fair “B” (sixth place, 69.40 points), Cypress Falls “A” (13th, 61.40) and Cypress Creek (15th, 56.95) in the Scholastic AAA class; and Cy-Fair (eighth, 81.75) in the Scholastic A class.
