Cy Falls relay team captures top time in nation

April 10, 2008 — The Cypress Falls High School 1,600-meter sprint medley relay team registered the fastest time in the nation for 2008 last weekend at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin.

The relay team of Blake Shaw, Tim Davis, Dedrick Johnson and Rickardo Chambers recorded a time of 3:27.23, propelling them to the top of the list kept by DyeStat, “The Internet Home of High School Track & Field.”

Shaw, a senior who will run for USC next year, also holds the nation’s top time of 1:49.41 in the 800-meter run this year.
