April 25, 2008 — The Cy-Fair High School softball team defeated Katy, 7-6, in a one-game bi-district playoff game on Thursday at Katy High School .

The victory puts the Bobcats (19-14) into the area round of the playoffs next week.

In other softball playoff action, Cypress Springs High School finished its season as a bi-district finalist following an 11-0 loss to Cinco Ranch on Thursday.

Both Cypress Woods and Cypress Creek high schools will complete their best-of-three bi-district playoff series over the weekend.
