May 6, 2008 —The Board recognized the 2007-2008 Spotlight Teachers during a special-called Board meeting held at the Berry Center on Monday. The event aired live on CFTV Ch. 16 and CFTV Online.

In recognition of their high expectations and dedication to student success during the current school year, Spotlight Teachers were honored from 47 elementary schools, 24 secondary schools and three special programs facilities.

The Portrait of a Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Teacher states that district teachers will be instructional strategists, creators of a student-centered environment, positive role models, lifelong learners and team players. The following teachers were honored for their outstanding dedication to education:
