May 8, 2008 — Seven CFISD athletes were named to Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston (AGH) teams this week.

Cy-Fair High School senior forward Nneka Ogwumike was named the AGH Girls Basketball Player of the Year and was selected to the First Team. Her teammate and sibling, sophomore post Chiney Ogwumike, was named to the Second Team. Cypress Springs High School senior wing Phillip McDonald was named to the AGH Boys Basketball First Team.

Cypress Ridge High School senior Jessica Nguyen was named the AGH Girls Wrestler of the Year.

Langham Creek High School senior goalkeeper Jacob Truitt was named to the AGH Boys Soccer First Team, while Cypress Creek High School senior midfielder Audrey LaLanne and Cypress Woods High School junior Alyssa Cowie were named to the AGH Girls Soccer Second Team.
