June 5, 2008 —Two CFISD baseball players have been selected to play for the South All-Stars in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association (THSBCA) All-Star Game.

Langham Creek High School senior outfielder Austin Freitas and Cy-Fair High School senior pitcher/shortstop Tommy Collier were both selected to play in the game, which is scheduled for noon on Sunday, June 15 at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock. The game will feature some of the top players in the state from both Class 5A and 4A.

Langham Creek head baseball coach Armando Sedeño will coach the South All-Stars.

“It’s an honor to be selected coach, and it sure is nice to coach a bunch of talented players,” Sedeño said. “To be able to coach two great athletes from our own district will make it equally fun for me since I know them.”
