June 9, 2008 — Jeff LaCoke, an assistant principal at Frazier Elementary School, was named the new principal at Frazier during the regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting on Monday.
LaCoke replaces Meredith Perkins, who will be relocating to Round Rock ISD this summer.
LaCoke has 11 years of experience in education, beginning as a fifth-grade ESL/bilingual teacher at Sheridan Elementary School in 1997. As a result of his demonstrated leadership skills, he was selected as assistant principal at Frazier. He has also served as summer school principal at Willbern Elementary School in 2006 and 2007.
LaCoke received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Texas and his Master of Education in administration and supervision from Sam Houston State University. His areas of certification include elementary self-contained (1-8), elementary English (1-8), English as a Second Language and principal (EC-12).
“I am truly honored to be named principal of Frazier Elementary and to follow in the footsteps of its previous leadership,” LaCoke said. “I look forward to serving the students, staff, parents and community, and I am excited to think about the many successes we will achieve together.”
