June 12, 2008 — The 2008 Salute to the Stars Gala has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Hosted by the Cypress-Fairbanks Educational Foundation (CFEF) and CFISD, the gala is held annually to recognize Spotlight Teachers from each district school. Since the gala’s initiation in 1998, the community’s sponsorship and support has allowed the CFEF to contribute more than $800,000 to the CFISD Instructional Excellence grants program. The CFEF also invests in the future by providing scholarship funds for qualified students seeking education beyond high school and by funding instructional programs for CFISD.

The CFEF is currently seeking table sponsors for the event. Those interested in sponsoring one of the following tables can contact Marie Holmes, executive director of the CFEF, at 832-381-2333 or marie@thecfef.org. The event will be completely underwritten by the Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union.

• Oscar Table ($5,000): Sponsor receives special recognition at the event, special press releases, a full-page ad in the program, video presence, signage at the event, name in press releases, program placement, a designated table with six event tickets and sponsorship of four honorees at the table;
• MGM Studio Table ($3,000): Sponsor receives a half-page ad in the program, video presence, signage at the event, name in press releases, program placement, a designated table with six event tickets and sponsorship of four honorees at the table;
• Columbia Studio Table ($2,000): Sponsor receives a quarter-page ad in the program, video presence, signage at the event, name in press releases, program placement, a designated table with six event tickets and sponsorship of four honorees at the table;
• Paramount Studio Table ($1,500): Sponsor receives a business card-sized ad in the program, video presence, signage at the event, name in press releases, program placement, a designated table with six event tickets and sponsorship of four honorees at the table; and
• Fox Studio Table ($1,250): Sponsor receives signage at the event, name in press releases, program placement, a designated table with six event tickets and sponsorship of four honorees at the table.
