June 18, 2008 — CFISD baseball players helped guide the Northwest All-Stars to a 3-1 victory over the Northeast All-Stars in the Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association (HABCA) All-Star Game, played Tuesday at Rice University’s Reckling Park.

Cypress Creek High School pitcher Brad Orosey pitched a scoreless third inning for the Northwest team, striking out three batters. Langham Creek High School pitcher Codey Morehouse pitched the seventh inning to register the save.

Cy-Fair High School outfielder Robbie Grossman got the offense going, reaching base twice and tallying a stolen base.

The Northwest All-Stars, consisting of some of the top athletes from Cy-Fair, Katy and Klein ISD were coached by Cypress Creek head coach Michael McCollum and his staff.
