July 9, 2008 —For the second consecutive year, the Bridgeland community has agreed to sponsor gifts for CFISD Spotlight Teachers during the 2008 Salute to the Stars Gala, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

During the 2007 Gala, Bridgeland—owned by developer General Growth Properties (GGP)—gave each Spotlight Teacher a $100 GGP mall gift card and a tree seedling—representing the community’s emphasis on the balance of nature.

“At Bridgeland we’re very invested in education and we want to support the teachers in our community,” said Kriste Klepper, Bridgeland senior marketing manager. “We want to differentiate ourselves from other master-planned communities and go above and beyond the standard for our local schools.”

Salute to the Stars will be hosted by the Cypress-Fairbanks Educational Foundation (CFEF) and CFISD, and will be completely underwritten by the Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union.
