September 23, 2008 —Tentative revisions have been made to the 2008-2009 CFISD calendar as a result of school cancellations following Hurricane Ike.

The adjusted grading periods will be as follows:

First Semester

First Grading Period: ........ Aug. 25-Oct. 10 27 days

Second Grading Period: ... Oct. 14-Nov. 21 28 days

Third Grading Period: ....... Nov. 24-Jan. 16 26 days

81 days

Second Semester

Fourth Grading Period: ..... Jan. 20-Feb. 27 28 days

Fifth Grading Period: ......... March 2-April 17 28 days

Sixth Grading Period: ........ April 20-June 3 32 days

88 days

Until the district receives information from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), professional development days will remain unchanged and make-up days have yet to be determined.
