'Take Our Child to Work Day' set for June 17, 2009

March 12, 2009 — Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, in partnership with other Houston-area school districts, will participate in “Take Our Child to Work Day” on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, rather than the national set date of April 23.

The district’s decision to participate in this event in June rather than April allows the activity to not interfere with a regular instructional school day. It also provides local businesses with the freedom to determine the appropriate level of participation for business owners and their employees’ children.

Students will not be excused from school next month to participate in the national “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.”
