May 14, 2009 — Six CFISD girls soccer players were named to the 2009 Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) All-Region II and All-State teams this week.
The All-State players were all from Cypress Creek High School: Terah Parker, senior forward; Sarah LaLanne, junior midfielder; and Michelle Kloss, junior goalkeeper.
“I was so excited to see my three players get All-State; we have never had anyone from our team make All-State,” said Cypress Creek coach Kathy Fling. “I think they were well deserving of this award, and all played a vital role in our playoff experience along with the rest of the team.”
All-Region selections were Samantha Brenz, Cy-Fair High School senior forward; Sydney Curry, Cy-Fair junior midfielder; and Ryan Smith, Jersey Village High School senior goalkeeper.
Additionally, Parker, a Pepperdine University commitment, and Cypress Creek senior Amanda Biega were invited to play in the annual TASCO Senior Showcase this weekend.
