TEA approves waivers for missed instructional days

May 14, 2009 — On Thursday, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved waivers for missed instructional days, which were submitted by CFISD this week in the wake of days missed from flooding and the H1N1 Virus.

Students will not be required to make up the instructional days that were missed due to these events.

The TEA approved two waivers for instructional days missed due to flooding for the following students:

• All students for the district closure on April 28; and

• Cypress Creek High School students for four instructional days lost on April 28-30 and May 1.
  

The TEA approved two waivers for instructional days missed due to the H1N1 Virus for the following students:

• Yeager Elementary School students for three days missed on May 1, 4 and 5; and

• Horne Elementary School students for two days missed on May 4-5.
