The Cypress Falls Science Olympiad team also qualified for nationals in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
“I could not be more pleased with the effort my team put in during the last few weeks before nationals,” said Jennifer Wuellner, Cypress Falls Science Olympiad coach. “We had only three weeks to get ready after the state contest. During those three weeks, the TAKS test was administered, we had a flood day, the swine flu scare came and AP tests were administered. Despite all of these challenges, our team somehow managed to find time to put in some additional practice. I’m proud of how far this team has come this year.”
