Stacia Carew named new principal at Bleyl MS

December 18, 2009—Stacia Carew, assistant principal at Cypress Woods High School, was named the new principal at Bleyl Middle School on Thursday. Carew replaces Barbara Crook, who will retire at the end of the semester.
Carew has a total of 13 years in the education profession. She began her career in Aldine ISD, where she was a language arts/reading teacher, Title I and Parent Involvement Coordinator, and later the curriculum assistant principal at Carver Magnet High School.
She joined the CFISD family in 2007 as an assistant principal at Aragon Middle School before assuming her current position at Cypress Woods in 2008.
“Ms. Carew is an advocate for middle school students,” said Dr. David Anthony, superintendent of schools. “Her varied experiences at the secondary level, her extensive training and her collaborative leadership style make her well-qualified to serve as principal of Bleyl Middle School.”
Carew received a Bachelor of Science in education at Sam Houston State University and a Master of Education from the University of Houston. She is certified in Elementary Self-Contained (1-8), Elementary Health Education (1-8) and as a Principal (EC-12).
