All 3 girls' basketball teams move on to regional quarterfinals

February 22, 2010— The three CFISD girls’ basketball teams still standing in the Region II-5A playoffs all won their area-round games on Thursday and Friday and will resume competition today and tomorrow in the regional quarterfinals.

Cy-Fair High School defeated Spring Dekaney on Thursday, 70-48, while Cypress Creek knocked off Klein Collins on Friday, 53-45. This sets up a regional quarterfinal pairing between the two CFISD teams tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Cypress Woods High School (16825 Spring Cypress Road).

Cypress Falls High School beat The Woodlands College Park, 59-46, on Friday. The Golden Eagles will meet Georgetown on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Hearne High School (1201 W. Brown St.).
