Langham Creek wins again; moves on to regional tournament

March 2, 2010—The Langham Creek High School boys’ basketball team continued its playoff surge on Monday night, winning its third straight overtime postseason game over The Woodlands, 56-47, in the Region II quarterfinal at the Berry Center.
The Lobos will advance to face Garland Lakeview Centennial in the Region II semifinal at 6 p.m. on Friday at Baylor University's Ferrell Center (1900 S. University Parks Dr.) in Waco.
The winner of the semifinal will play the winner between Temple and Spring in the regional final at a time to be determined on Saturday, March 6 at the Ferrell Center.
“Reaching the regional tournament is a great accomplishment for the Langham Creek basketball program because of all the hard work and dedication by the young men on the team,” said Langham Creek head coach Charles Ament. “I am ecstatic for the community of Langham Creek. The support they have showed while I have been the head coach has been tremendous. It is a thrill to still be playing, and hopefully we can keep it going.”
