Swimmers selected to Academic All-American team
June 23, 2010 —Three CFISD students were selected to the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) Academic All-American team. Approximately 2 percent of the students involved in high school aquatics are recognized as Academic All-Americans.
The students were among 1,692 selected nationwide and just 173 from the state of Texas.
The following students were named Academic All-Americans:

Jennifer Rembach, Cy-Fair High School; Richard Carnicle, Cy-Fair High School; and Richard Francis III, Cypress Creek High School.
To qualify for the award, students were required to: have a minimum GPA of 3.750 on a 4-point scale (or 93.75 percent of the grade scale used for seven semesters or 11 trimesters); be a graduating senior; and have lettered in their high school program (swimming, diving or water polo) during their senior year.
