3 athletes make Touchdown Club Pre-Season team

July 28, 2010 —Three Cypress-Fairbanks ISD football players were among 31 Houston-area athletes selected to the Touchdown Club of Houston 2010 High School Pre-Season Team.

The three recipients are Colton Huntsman, Cypress Woods High School senior quarterback; Jermichael Selders, Cypress Creek High School senior running back; and Nick Shepard, Cypress Ridge High School senior defensive back.

The players will be honored at the Touchdown Club’s annual Touchdowner of the Year Dinner—the city’s largest and most prestigious preseason football event—scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Exhibition Center of the JW Marriott Hotel (5150 Westheimer Road).

A Touchdown Club committee that received input from the Greater Houston Football Coaches Association, media and college recruiting experts, selected the team. The committee was chaired by Touchdown Club Executive Board members Royce Huffman and Keith Kilgore.
