Football teams advance to regional semifinals

November 21, 2010—The Cypress Creek and Cypress Woods high school football teams won their respective area-round playoff games on Saturday, and will compete in the Region III semifinals this weekend.

In the Division I bracket, Cypress Creek defeated Cinco Ranch, 54-28. The Cougars will meet Pearland at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27 at Stallworth Stadium (2509 E Archer Road) in Baytown.

In Division II, Cypress Woods beat Katy Taylor, 67-7. The Wildcats will face Clear Creek at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Turner Stadium (1700 Wilson Road) in Humble.

Tickets for all games may be purchased at cyfairtickets.com. Pre-sale prices are $4 for students (K-12) and $7 for adults, while gate prices are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Cy-Fair ended its season with a 55-20 loss to Katy in the Division I bracket. The Bobcats wrap up the year as District 17-5A tri-champions and Region III area playoff finalists.
