Soccer teams begin postseason play

March 28, 2011 — CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer teams completed District 17-5A play on Friday and begin Region III bi-district playoff competition this week.
In girls’ soccer, Cypress Creek High School and Cy-Fair High School were co-district champions, followed by third-place Cypress Ranch High School and fourth-place Jersey Village High School.
All tickets for the following girls’ playoff games will be sold for $4 at the gate:

Cypress Creek will face Aldine MacArthur on Tuesday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Thorne Stadium (1715 Aldine Bender Road);

Cy-Fair will meet Alief Taylor on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road);

Cypress Ranch will face Alief Elsik on Tuesday at 5:40 p.m. at the Alief Auxiliary Field (12601 High Star Drive); and
-
Jersey Village will clash with Aldine High School on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Thorne Stadium.
In boys’ soccer, Cy-Fair was the 17-5A champion, followed by second-place Langham Creek, third-place Cypress Falls and fourth-place Cypress Lakes.
All tickets for the following boys’ playoff games will be sold for $4 at the gate:

Cy-Fair will face Aldine Nimitz on Tuesday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Berry Center;

Langham Creek will meet Aldine MacArthur on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Cypress Woods High School (16825 Spring Cypress Road);

Cypress Falls will match up with Alief Elsik on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Alief Taylor High School (7555 Howell Sugar Land Road); and

Cypress Lakes will meet Alief Hastings on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Alief Auxiliary Field.
