Campbell tech teacher wins third straight teacher award

Nov. 3, 2011—Campbell Middle School career and technical education teacher Kevin Morosin was honored by the Brazos Valley Regional Teacher Association as the 2011 Distinguished Teacher of the Year for the third consecutive school year.
Morosin received the honor from his peers during the Brazos Valley Teacher meeting on Oct. 27 at Conroe High School. The region consists of schools from Cypress-Fairbanks, Klein, Aldine, Conroe, Bryan and Spring independent school districts.
Morosin’s students in the Campbell Tech club won 307 first-place, 189 second-place and 103 third-place awards at the 2010-2011 regional contest, as well as three state titles at the 2011 Texas Technology Student Association (TTSA) state contest in Waco.
“My students are the ones who have made me the teacher I am over the years by working hard to learn industrial arts, industrial technology, technology education and the many areas and many name changes over the years with the support of my peers in the Brazos Valley Teacher Region,” Morosin said. “I want to thank the many generous corporate sponsors and parents that have helped make the Campbell Tech Club No. 1 in the region and state for over 25 years.”
