Feb. 8, 2012—Teresa Baranowski, the associate principal at Cy-Fair High School, was named the principal at Truitt Middle School on Feb. 6. Baranowski replaces Bob Hull, who was named the principal at Cypress Ranch High School in December.
Baranowski has 22 years of experience in education. Over the course of her career she has served as a math teacher at Cook Middle School, a counselor at Langham Creek High School and Landrum Middle School in Spring Branch ISD and an assistant principal and director of instruction at Cypress Ridge High School. In 2009 she was promoted to the associate principal position at Cy-Fair High School.
During her 22-year career, Baranowski has received extensive training in a variety of programs including instructional strategies, classroom management, diversity and BBR (Building Better Relations).
Baranowski received her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and her Master of Education from Prairie View A&M University.
"I feel honored to have been selected as Truitt's next principal and I am excited about getting to know and serving the students, staff and community,” Baranowski said. “I have been an educator for 22 years and am a product of CFISD. There is a very special place in my heart for my new school because Ronnie Truitt was my principal at Jersey Village High School."
