Roy Sprague elected to capital projects Board of Directors

Feb. 16, 2012—Roy Sprague, assistant superintendent of facilities and construction, was elected in January to serve on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects (I-LinCP).
Formed in 2010, the institute is a non-profit organization that promotes leadership, excellence, predictability and sustainability in the planning, design, delivery and operation of capital projects. This is accomplished through education, research and development, collaborative forums and other events and services.
The Vision of the institute is to be the leading source for the solutions that achieve capital project excellence and performance and that deliver exceptional value to capital project stakeholders.
“I am very excited about serving on the Board of Directors for this new organization,” Sprague said. “I will have the opportunity to serve, learn and collaborate with other leaders of capital programs from the Texas State University system, University of Houston, etc. as well as other Architects and Major Contractors in the state of Texas to improve on the implementation of successful capital programs. This will also be a great opportunity to share the successes we have had here in CFISD with our construction bond program.”
