March 5, 2012— Cypress Ridge High School junior Frank Jarquin became the first ever Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter president from his campus during an election on Jan. 21.
Jarquin will serve as FBLA Area V president during the 2012-2013 school year. He began his reign as president by receiving the gavel from the current Area V president and bringing the 2012 FBLA Area Conference and Competition to a close.
His duties will include planning all area conferences and leading approximately 1,000 greater Houston-area FBLA members at the local and state conferences.
“Frank exhibits every aspect of Ram Pride, and is a tremendous asset not only to our club but the entire Cypress Ridge High School campus community. We are extremely proud of him for representing FBLA in such a manner,” said business teachers and FBLA co-sponsors Teri Bradshaw and Carolyn Harrell, in a written statement.
