Coaches select all-district girls’ basketball team
March 6, 2012—District 17-5A girls’ basketball coaches released the All-District 17-5A Girls’ Basketball Team this week, following the conclusion of each team’s season.
Cypress Falls High School senior Loryn Goodwin was named Most Valuable Player, while Cypress Falls senior Sadalia Ellis was named Defensive Player of the Year. Cypress Woods High School freshman Erica Ogwumike was named Newcomer of the Year and Cypress Falls head coach Jim Stephens was named Coach of the Year.
The following CFISD athletes were named to the first, second, honorable mention and academic all-district teams:
