Partners in Education seeks mentors for 2012-2013
August 10, 2012—The CFISD Partners in Education (PIE) office is looking for dedicated adults to serve as mentors for students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2012-2013 school year.
Mentors—suitable role models committed to serving as a guides and friends while helping a student with his/her educational and personal development—are asked to commit to approximately one hour per week during the school year. Mentors and mentees will meet only on campus and during school hours.
Seven mentor training sessions have been scheduled at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road) throughout the school year:

Thursday, Sept. 20, 9:30–11:30 a.m.;

Tuesday, Oct. 2, 6–8 p.m.;

Tuesday, Nov. 27, 9:30–11:30 a.m.;

Thursday, Jan. 31, 9:30–11:30 a.m.;

Tuesday, Feb. 12, 6–8 p.m.;

Thursday, Feb. 28, 9:30–11:30 a.m.; and

Thursday, March 28, 9:30–11:30 a.m.
