Cy-Fair athletes fare well in London Olympics

August 10, 2012—A pair of CFISD graduates completed their respective events with impressive finishes in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
A 2004 Cy-Fair High School graduate, Team USA gymnast Jonathan Horton placed sixth in the horizontal bar event with a score of 15.466 on Tuesday.
Horton was also part of Team USA’s fifth-place finish in the men’s team final with a score of 269.952 on July 31, participating in the rings and horizontal bar events. Horton’s score of 15.200 helped Team USA to third-place in the horzontal bar with a score of 46.399, while his score of 15.266 helped Team USA place fourth in the rings with a score of 45.257.
A 2010 Cypress Woods High School graduate, Team USA swimmer Cammile Adams placed fifth in the women’s 200-meter butterfly finals with a time of 2:06.78 on Aug. 1.
Adams, who swims for Texas A&M University, won a state title for Cypress Woods in the 500 freestyle in 2010.
