Governor declares Oct. 10 Texas Education Human Resources Day
Sept. 20, 2012—Texas Gov. Rick Perry has signed a proclamation to observe Texas Education Human Resources Day on Oct. 10, 2012.
The day will be set aside to recognize and honor the important contributions made by school personnel who work in human resources.
Human resources personnel work hard each day to ensure that CFISD schools are staffed with high-quality employees and that those employees have a good working environment.
According to Gov. Perry’s proclamation, HR professionals are responsible for implementing effective practices for the hiring of quality staff to teach young Texans and keep schools running smoothly—serving the needs of students, teachers and administrators to create a healthy environment in the best interest of students.
“The HR team at Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is staffed with servant leaders committed to excellence in all we do,” said Chairita Franklin, assistant superintendent for human resources. “The Texas Education Human Resources Day is an opportunity for the Cy-Fair community to reflect on the integral role the HR team has in supporting the district—whether it is providing HR consultation to employees and administrators or the review and selection of the candidates who teach and support our future leaders. We may not be in the classroom, but we take great pride in supporting all of the professionals who are.”
