Class of 2022 graduates celebrate $842,500 in CFEF scholarships
Aug. 11, 2022—More than 140 Cypress-Fairbanks ISD graduates celebrated earning scholarships valued at $842,500 at the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) 2022 Scholarship Reception on Aug. 2 at the Berry Center.

CFISD staff member honored for service under extreme circumstances
Aug. 11, 2022—Kris Jones, CFISD assistant director of aquatics and Houston Police Officer Hannah Shaffer were recently recognized for their decisive actions and American Red Cross training in helping preserve the life of a student-athlete during a water polo match in April. They were honored on July 21 during a ceremony at the American Red Cross Gulf Coast Region’s Greater Houston location.

Bridgeland, Cy Woods students place at HOSA International Conference
Students from Bridgeland and Cypress Woods high schools earned top awards at the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) International Leadership Conference, held June 22-26 at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Jersey Village HS graduate to serve as Texas FFA state officer
Aug. 9, 2022—Jersey Village High School Class of 2022 graduate Logan Jaure was recently elected as a state officer for the Texas FFA Association during the organization’s state convention. He will represent Area III at the state level for the 2022-2023 school, becoming the first state officer from Jersey Village and first from CFISD to serve since 1997.
