ADMISSIONS

  • The Department of Student Admissions, Attendance and Transfers implements enrollment requirements pertaining to residency and guardianship rules. The team develops and provides comprehensive training for ct personnel related to policies and procedures for student admissions. In addition, assistance is provided to parents, guardians, and foreign exchange organizations in resolving issues related to admissions.

TRANSFERS

  • The department provides support to students, campus and district personnel, and the community regarding all aspects of the Student Transfer Process. Training is provided to campus administrators, registrars, and district support staff detailing the student transfer policies and procedures.

    The attendance officers work closely with school administration and the Justice of the Peace Courts in applying truancy prevention measures. The team conducts home visits for a variety of reasons, including non-attendance, locating drop-outs, and residence checks. Attendance Officers conduct leaver code audits with secondary school registrars and high school drop-out recovery specialists to ensure accurate data for leaver code documentation are in compliance with PEIMS Data Standards for leaver codes.
