Middle schools clinch 2022 district track and field championships

May 24, 2022—The Goodson Middle School seventh and eighth grade boys, Smith Middle School seventh and eighth grade girls, and Spillane Middle School eighth grade girls all clinched their respective track and field district championships at the District Meet, held April 26-28 at Cypress Lakes and Cypress Woods high schools.

Destination Imagination teams win awards at 2022 regional contest

March 8, 2022—Ten CFISD Destination Imagination teams earned top-three victories at the Gulf Coast Regional Tournament, held Feb. 12 at Cinco Ranch High School in Katy ISD. Five CFISD teams qualified for the Lone Star Finals Affiliate State Tournament, scheduled for March 25-26 at the University of Texas at Arlington.

CFISD Student of the Week: Leah Grigsby

Feb. 21, 2022—Smith Middle School eighth grade student Leah Grigsby has served as the student body representative for Black History Month, speaking every day during campus announcements in February and sharing stories of influential Africans and African Americans.

Anthony, Salyards, Spillane win volleyball ‘A’ tournament titles

Nov. 18, 2021—Three different middle schools won bracket championships at the Middle School “A” Volleyball Tournament, held at various campuses Nov. 3 and 6.
