COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

  • High School No. 12 & Elementary School No. 55 – In January 2012, the Board approved the administration’s recommendation to select IBI Group to design and master-plan the 128 acre multi-campus site located in Bridgeland and is located between Mason Road and The Grand Parkway. This site will include High School No. 12, a future Middle School and Elementary School No. 55. Completion of both High School No. 12 and Elementary No. 55 is scheduled for summer of 2017 in preparation for the 2017-18 school year.

    High School No. 11 - Approved by the Board in January 2012. High School 11 is located on CFISD’s 179 acre multi-campus site at FM 529 and Westgreen Boulevard. This project was designed by PBK Architects as an Educational Village concept and is currently under construction. Completion is scheduled for summer 2016 in preparation for the 2016-17 school year.

    Sadie Woodard Elementary School, Elementary No. 54 – Opened in August 2015 and is located at the intersection of Barker Cypress Road and Cypress North Houston Boulevard in the Alder Trails Subdivision. The construction contract was awarded to Drymalla Construction company, Inc. in the amount of $20,559,000, using funds from the 2007 Bond. The project was designed by PBK Architects.

    Bradley Police Station – Completed in July 2014. The construction contract was awarded to ICI Construction in the amount of $7,400,200, using interest earnings and project cost savings from the 2001 and 2004 Bonds. The project was designed by PBK Architects.

    David Anthony, Ed. D. Middle School, Middle School No. 18 – Opened in August 2014 and is located on CFISD’s multi-campus site, adjacent to Rennell Elementary School, in the Towne Lake Development. The construction contract was awarded to DivisionOne Construction LLC in the amount of $38,063,000, using funds from the 2007 Bond. The project was designed by IBI Group (previously Bay Architects).

    Sue Gratehouse Pope Elementary School, Elementary School No. 53 – Opened in August 2013 and is located located in Bridgeland at the corner of Bridge Cove Drive and North Bridgeland Lake Parkway. The construction contract was awarded to Gamma Construction in the amount of $14,765,500 using funds from the 2007 Bond. The project was designed by VLK Architects.

    Alternative Learning Center West - Opened in August 2009 and is located on the surplus property adjacent to Jowell Elementary School, at 19350 Rebel Yell. The construction contract was awarded to Drymalla Construction, Inc. in the amount of $8,938,000, using funds from the 2007 Bond. The facility was designed by PBK Architects.

    Emery Elementary School, Elementary School No. 51 - Opened in August 2010 and is located at Round Robin Drive and Plantation Myrtles Drive. The construction contract was awarded to Drymalla Construction, Inc. in the amount of $12,075,000 using funds from the 2007 Bond. The project was designed by PBK Architects.

    Rennell Elementary School, Elementary School No. 52 - Opened in August 2010 and is located on CFISD's multi-campus site in the Towne Lake Development on Tuckerton Road and Greenhouse Road. The construction contract was awarded to Purcell Construction, Inc. in the amount of $13,649,000, using funds from the 2007 Bond. The project was designed by Bay Architects.

    Salyards Middle School, Middle School No. 17 - Opened in August 2011 and is located on Fairfield Place Drive in the Fairfield community. The construction contract was awarded to Purcell Construction, Inc. in the amount of $30,303,000, using funds from the 2007 Bond. The project was designed by SHW Architects. Salyards provides enrollment relief to Aragon, Goodson, Hamilton and Spillane middle schools.
