PATROL DIVISION

  • patrol

Patrol Officers protect life and property on all Cypress-Fairbanks ISD campuses and facilities within the boundaries of the District. CFISD Police Officers also enforce traffic violations in school zones and roadways near and around all District property, as well as investigate traffic accidents occurring on and off district property. CFISD Police Officers randomly check District facilities on a 24-hour basis and respond to all alarms at District facilities. Patrol Officers also frequently provide assistance to other law enforcement agencies in the investigation and suppression of crimes occurring within our District’s boundaries.

Each of our day-shift patrol officers are charged with traffic direction and assisting our schools and our campus officers with bus arrival and morning drop off procedures. Additionally our day-shift officers are the primary response to all CFISD elementary schools during school hours and provide additional support to our high school and middle school officers as requested. Patrol Officers also provide students with educational information and work closely with campus administrators towards intervention as well as assist with appropriate law enforcement action when necessary.

Evening and night shift officers are tasked with assisting with school dismissals and providing law enforcement services to our campuses before and after school hours. Our evening and night shift officers routinely work with parents, schools, and the CFISD Transportation Department in assuring all students arrive home safely. Evening and night shift officers also provide an additional presence at athletic events and provide all after-hour physical security of the District’s campuses and facilities.
