The Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Board of Trustees approved the administration’s recommendation to name High School No. 11 Cypress Park High School during the regularly scheduled meeting on Aug. 10, 2015. Like other CFISD high schools that are named after geographic landmarks throughout the district, Cypress Park High School was named in recognition of the nearby Texas State Highway 99, also known as the Grand Parkway. The school will serve approximately 3,000 students and feature a three-story academic wing, community building for fine arts and indoor athletics, dining facility and central utility plant building. It will be part of a multi-campus educational village, with a middle school and elementary school.
