CYPRESS RANCH BOYS SOCCER PROGRAM
-
Mission Statement and Expectations
The Cypress Ranch Boys Soccer program’s primary goal is to help educate and develop young student athletes in addition to what they learn and achieve in the academic classroom environment. Our student athletes are expected to fully commit themselves to improving not just their soccer ability, but their sense of responsibility to teammates, peers, and the community as a whole. We expect every single one of our players to be upstanding members of the Cypress Ranch High School student body, and to have the understanding that their actions are a reflection of both themselves and this program. We emphasize success through hard work, discipline, and an unshakable commitment to excellence.

Practices and Games
Students are expected to practice each day during the soccer period while in off-season. They must have cleats, shin-guards, long white socks, black shorts, and a plain white t-shirt. Those that make the final roster will then be provided with a uniform and Cypress Ranch practice shirts.
During the season, practices are held each day after school between 2:40 and 4:30. All players are expected to attend every practice unless notification is given to coaches prior to the practice. Games are Tuesday and Friday after school each week. All players are expected to attend (all student-athletes must travel with the team) all games. Sub-varsity players are expected to attend all varsity home games.
There will be practices over the winter and spring break holidays. All players will be expected to attend. Players who miss practices will forfeit playing time during games. Playing time during games is not guaranteed at any level.
Summer Camp Information
Any incoming 6th - 9th graders in Cypress Ranch's attendance zone are eligible to participate in our summer soccer camp on May 30th - June 1st between 8 AM and 10 AM. All participants must have an updated physical on file to take part in activities; they should also have cleats, shin guards, and their own water supply. The camp will take place at the Cy-Ranch practice fields
Tryouts
All students interested in trying out for the boys soccer program must have an updated physical on file with the school's athletic training department. Tryouts for the fall class period will take place during the first week of school; all students must have cleats, shin guards, and an updated physical to participate. Those who are not selected after the first tryout will still be able to participate in the final team tryouts (along with any other athlete who did not tryout) that will take place after school between 2:40 and 4:30 the first three days after the Thanksgiving holidays. Final teams will then be selected and equipment handed out to all student-athletes.
