PBIS

  • Moore Elementary is a PBIS school, which means that we focus on the positive behaviors in our students and staff to create an engaging learning experience. Each location at our school has a designated matrix of positively stated expectations based on our motto: R.O.L.L. (Respectful, On-Task, Loyal, and Leaders). These matrices are taught, posted, and reviewed with students throughout the year.

At Moore, we teach our Armadillos to R.O.L.L. and reward their positive behaviors with "Dillo Dollars." Students have the opportunity to use their dollars for both tangible and intangible incentives via classroom menus and our school's Dillo Mart. We also recognize positive student behaviors in other ways during the school year – including teacher nominated student shout outs on our morning announcements and "R.O.L.L. Model" incentives.

PK-1 teachers will document and communicate behavior and work habits with their parents via a daily paper communication card. It is important for your student's academic success to keep communication channels open. 2-5 teachers may send home a weekly communication card in the students' Friday folder.
