Elementary No. 49 was named Robinson Elementary School after Marie Williams Robinson.

Robinson worked in the district for 33 years. She was a school nurse at Bane and Post elementary schools, Dean Junior High School and Jersey Village High School. She was named as the director of health services in 1973 while serving as the school nurse for Jersey Village.

In 1974, she became the full-time director of health services. Robinson was actively involved in the Texas School Nurse Association and the District School Nurse Association before retiring in May 1996.

Robinson and her husband, Don, have three children—Karen, Janet and Donna—who are all Cy-Fair High School graduates.
